Enrollment for 2020 summer camps is on hold. As soon as we know it’s safe to gather together again we will update this site with our summer camp schedule.
Loving Space School offers summer camps for kids who are almost 5 and who are up to 8 years old. These camps can be a great way to help get your child ready for kindergarten by trying out something new, or they can be some extra fun for your older child.
Enrollment starts in April for families currently registered at the preschool or kindergarten. Open enrollment begins in mid April. Sign up forms will be posted in the entryway of the Loving Space kindergarten. Visit the school, write your child’s name on the list, and deposit your holding fee to reserve a spot. (See Cost, below.)
Camps run Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Children must be picked up by 2:00 pm sharp. Before or after care may be available at the preschool. Contact the preschool for more information.
All camps are run by Loving Space School staff who are trained in CPR and first aid.
A week of camp costs $190.00. A holding fee of $95 is required to hold your child’s place on the list; the remaining $95 is due when camp starts. The $95 fee is not refundable unless we can find someone else to take the spot. Missed days of camp are not credited.
What to Bring
Please pack your child a lunch and water. Apply sunscreen to your child each day before camp. Some camps have additional requirements; check the schedule below.
July 8-12 Let’s Play Games with Chris and Julie
This week we will focus on different games each day. The goals will be to learn to play the game, have fun and be a good sport!
July 15-19 Let’s Make Pottery With Abby and Erin
In this camp kids will get to work with a real potters wheel, see a professional potter in actions and have at least one of their pieces fired to take home.
August 5-9 Let’s Have Some Summer Fun with Kristan and Kelli
In this camp, kids will get to do all the favorite summer activities we did when we were little. Making ice cream, running through the sprinkler, having picnics, and much more.
August 12-16 Let’s Make A Movie With Abby and Rae
In this camp kids will work together to write a scrip, make costumes and props, and act. We will film and edit this movie with the intention of having a viewing party on the last day of camp.
