Summer Camps

Loving Space School offers summer camps for kids who are almost 5 and who are up to 8 years old. These camps can be a great way to help get your child ready for kindergarten by trying out something new, or they can be some extra fun for your older child.

Enrollment
Enrollment starts on April 10, 2017 for families currently registered at the preschool or kindergarten. Open enrollment begins April 17, 2017. Sign up forms will be posted in the entryway of the Loving Space kindergarten. Visit the school, write your child’s name on the list, and deposit your holding fee to reserve a spot. (See Cost, below.)

Time
Camps run Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Children must be picked up by 2:00 pm sharp. Before or after care may be available at the preschool. Contact the preschool for more information.

Staff
All camps are run by Loving Space School staff who are trained in CPR and first aid.

Cost
A week of camp costs $180.00. A holding fee of $90 is required to hold your child’s place on the list; the remaining $90 is due when camp starts. The $90 fee is not refundable unless we can find someone else to take the spot. Missed days of camp are not credited.

What to Bring
Please pack your child a lunch and water. Apply sunscreen to your child each day before camp. Some camps have additional requirements; check the schedule below.

2017 Schedule

July 10-14 BIG Ideas with Abby and Erin
This week we will explore creativity through group brainstorming, large scale sensory experiences, and individual self expression. Never underestimate what two willing teachers and 20 kids can come up with!

July 24-28 The Best Parts of Summer with Kelli and Kristan
In this camp, kids will get to do all the favorite summer activities we did when we were little. Making ice cream, running through the sprinkler, having picnics, and more!

July 31-August 4 Folktales and Magic with Iris and Sandy
Kids love fairytales! The magic and mystery of this make believe world inspires their imaginations in such rich ways. During this week, we will read, play, create, explore, and dive into this fantasy  world.

August 7-11 Sportsmanship with Chris and Julie
Our focus this week will be the love of the game, playing fair, and being a good sport. We will teach the fundamentals of baseball, soccer, track and field, and other sports while emphasizing the fun in being fit!

August 14-18 Puppets with Abby, Chris and Schmitty
Schmitty is Chris’s puppet and the two of them are a hilarious team. In this camp, kids will learn the basics of storytelling, make their own puppets, put on shows, and laugh till their sides hurt.
